Acute NHS Trust
From static paperwork to a living assurance framework
The situation
A large acute trust carried a corporate risk register of more than sixty entries, many untouched for over a year. The Board Assurance Framework was updated before meetings but rarely shaped them, and internal audit had flagged assurance mapping as limited two years running.
